Dr. Ahmed is a medical graduate of Mymensingh Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his residency in New York at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center and Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He also completed his fellowship in Geriatrics in New York at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and University Hospital of New York Medical College. In 2002, he started his career as an attending physician of Interfaith Medical Center, Primary Care Center in Brooklyn and became the Medical Director in 2015. During this time, he served as one of the outstanding medical providers in his field of expertise. His dedication, hard work and commitment to provide exceptional care was evident by the number of patients who continuously trust him and seek for his compassionate care. In 2019, he dedicated his time to his own private practice, GetWell Med-Care PC located in Woodside, Queens which he established in 2005. With his goal to help and improve the community, his distinct ways of providing personalized care to his patients gave him the opportunity to expand his practice. This year GetWell Med-Care open its new door to be of service to the community of Jamaica, Queens.
Ms. Choi is a native from Korea. She graduated in 2010 from Yonsei University in South Korea with a Nursing Degree. In 2017, she completed Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Lehman College in New York. She has combined clinical experience of 10 years in the various field of nursing including ICU, Med-Surgical, Rehabilitation, Primary Care among others. She gained valuable experience working in Harlem Hospital Med-Surgical unit and Dr. Lee Medical Associates. In 2019, she joined GetWell Med-Care as a Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Choi’s dedication and hard work overcame the challenges that is brought about by the language barrier within our patient population. Her extraordinary ability to provide care even with limitations is acknowledged by many. She believes that her emphatic approach and commitment to follow through on treatment plans in joint effort with Dr. Ahmed in providing best medical care for patients is what makes a difference in her line of profession.
Dr, Sandhya Sharma is a graduate from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet, Bangladesh with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in June 2013. She completed her residency at Interfaith Medical Center and passed Board Certification in 2020. She was born in Nepal and is very fluent in Nepali, Hindi and Bengali. Dr. Sharma has been a member of GetWell family since 2016 when she worked as an intern prior to residency. Her unique approach to medicine and dedication to help our patients has brought her back to our medical facility. She finds internal medicine very challenging yet rewarding and believes that with strong sense of commitment and consistency in providing quality care she will be able to make a difference in our patients’ lives.
